About the Rossi Misano 2015 "Shark" Helmet
The AGV Corsa "The Shark" Limited Edition Helmet tells the story of one of the most intense rivalries in modern MotoGP. Worn by Valentino Rossi during the 2015 season, the design uses clever symbolism to portray Rossi's championship battle with teammate and rival Jorge Lorenzo.
Created by legendary designer Aldo Drudi, the helmet features a large shark representing Lorenzo. Swimming ahead of the predator is a small yellow fish representing Rossi himself. The playful artwork illustrates the fierce battle between the two Yamaha teammates as they fought for the MotoGP World Championship, with Rossi portraying himself as the smaller fish trying to stay just out of reach of the pursuing shark.
The design perfectly captures Rossi's unique approach to helmet graphics. Rather than relying on aggressive imagery alone, Rossi often used humor, storytelling, and symbolism to communicate the emotions and narratives unfolding throughout a season. The bright colors, cartoon-style artwork, and unmistakable fluorescent yellow accents make the helmet instantly recognizable among Rossi's many special-edition designs.
