The Arai Corsair-X Isle of Man TT 2018 helmet is a limited-edition design celebrating Arai’s long-standing partnership with the Isle of Man TT races. Featuring a bold black and red color scheme, the helmet showcases “TT” lettering in white on both sides and the “Ellan Vannin” inscription – the native Manx name for the Isle of Man. Built on Arai’s flagship Corsair-X platform, it offers world-class technology and protection in a collectible design.
Technical Features:
-
Enhanced Impact Protection: Arai’s smooth R75 shell shape is engineered to “glance off” and redirect impact energy rather than absorb it directly.
-
VAS (Variable Axis System): Lower shield pivot and compact side pods create a smoother shell profile, further improving energy dispersion.
-
PB SNC2 Shell Construction: Hand-crafted using Super Fiber and F1-developed synthetics, bonded with custom resin for maximum strength and light weight.
-
Type 12 Diffusers & AirWing: Longer vents improve aerodynamics and stability with a 19% airflow gain over the Corsair V.
-
Eco-Pure Liner System: Fully removable, antibacterial liner with peel-away temple pads for a customized fit.
-
Chin Curtain & Neck Roll: Reduces air intrusion and road noise while enhancing exhaust ventilation.
-
Emergency Release Tabs: Allows safe cheek pad removal by medical personnel in the event of an accident.
-
VAS V Max Vision Shield: Includes a clear shield with an anti-fog Pinlock insert for exceptional visibility in all weather conditions.
The Arai Corsair-X Isle of Man TT 2018 combines cutting-edge helmet technology with an iconic TT graphic, making it a must-have piece for collectors and racing enthusiasts alike.
