Dirt Bike Season is here! In Texas you know that Moto, like everything else, is done BIG. The Hill Country of central texas is especially ideal for your next off-road adventure. This part of Texas offers the perfect combo for a fun day of riding: scenic hills, a wide variety of terrain, open spaces, and warm weather. So, if you are looking for an exciting riding experience in the Hill Country, keep reading because we’ve got you covered.

Murphy’s MX:

Location: Red Rock, TX

First off, we have Murphy’s MX, a family-owned Motocross track & trails establishment. Murphy’s is known for its super friendly, helpful, and passionate staff. The tracks are very well prepped and maintained for the weekends. There are three tracks for riders of all experience levels to explore. The main track is a 1.5-mile ride made of a sandy topsoil mix that has a lot of banked turns and elevation changes. The kid track is a smooth ride that is specifically for beginners and kids. Murphy’s Hare Scramble trail is a 3-3.5-mile one-way looped path through trees and gullies in the woods. Murphy’s always provides a great experience for dirt bike enthusiasts of all levels.

Spoaks MotoPark:

Location: Lockhart, TX

Spoaks is a moto park that offers a versatile scene for riders. The Park has four motocross tracks: a vet track, kid track, sand track, main track as well as 6 miles of trails. The tracks are groomed with wide turns, shallow jumps, and tabletops. The trails are smooth, flowing hard packed with very few elevation changes, and have an easy loop, making it ideal for a beginner trail rider. Spoaks is open Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm. Weekdays are by appointment.

The Austin Motocross Park

Since 2003, The Austin Motocross Park has provided moto enthusiasts a challenging and safe place to ride right in Austin’s backyard. They currently have two high quality MX tracks to choose from and will soon have a third. The track’s hours and days vary.

The MX Factory

Location: Austin, TX

The MX Factory is a MX training facility, making it the perfect place to go if you are a beginner or want to enhance your riding skills. They offer a wide variety of programs for all levels of riding experience. Their Learn to Ride program includes the bike and helmet so all you need is your eagerness to learn and have fun. Overall, this facility is ideal for the new rider looking to get into off-road riding.

Freestone County Raceway

Freestone County Raceway (FCR) is a Texas Premier Motocross Track made up of two motocross tracks and numerous off-road tracks. The racetrack facility was built to host the Pro Motocross Nationals and hosts a variety of events throughout the year for riders and enthusiasts to enjoy. Freestone is the place you go to get a good old fashion racing and competitive experience. FCR is also known to have one of the best lit tracks for amateur night racing in the country.

Central Texas Off Road (CTOR Trails)

Central Texas Off Road (CTOR Trails) is a private club for off-road riders and enthusiasts. CTOR provides trail riding only and does not have an mx track. They primarily cater to dirt bikes and allow single seat utility ATVs. Offering members trails for every skill level, CTOR is a great place to challenge your riding abilities.

Hidden Falls Adventure Park

Hidden Falls Adventure Park offers miles and miles of hill country off-road trails for ATV’s, UTV’s, dirt bikes, 4x4’s & rock crawlers to explore. Hidden Falls is 3,000 acres of scenic routes and trails with varying degrees of skill levels. The Park is also a great get away camping location that has spacious amenities, a swimming area, cabins, and an onsite store & food truck. Hidden Falls is an ideal location for a challenging off-road and outdoor adventure.

Texas Tornado Bootcamp

Location: Montgomery, TX

Texas Tornado is a one stop shop boot camp that allows riders of all ages and skill levels to learn, practice and develop their motorcycles skills with top-of-the-line equipment. This camp provides an all-inclusive experience where its participants only need to show up and be ready to ride. Aside from the opportunity to ride until you drop, there are shooting sessions, a game room, a pool, and a relaxing saloon. Texas Tornado has three tracks for its campers to practice on. The first track features a TT style layout and is in a fully lit arena that is open until 10pm. Behind the arena is the second track that is used for drills featuring chicanes and sweeping corners. The third track is a 1/8-mile oval with two smaller tracks in the middle to run multiple groups on the track simultaneously. Overall Texas Tornado has everything you need to enhance your dirt bike riding skills for a perfect motocross getaway.

Creekside Motocross Track

Creekside MX has everything you need for a fun family friendly weekend trip to the track. They have tracks available for all skill levels as well as a track just for kids. Creekside allows visitors to camp out on the weekend. Although there are no hookups, there are clean restrooms provided. They also have scenic creek access for fishing, kayaking, and swimming available. Creekside is a perfect location for you to ride and experience a variety of outdoor activities. Their typical hours are Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting) from 9am-4pm.

Cycle Ranch

Location: Floresville, TX

Cycle Ranch is an off-road park that hosts over 20 motocross racing events each year. The facility is one of Texas’ number one extreme sports location where members can ride, compete in adventure running races, and participate in MX training. Their normal hours are Monday-Thursday (no prep) from 9am-5pm and Saturday-Sunday (full prep) from 9am-3pm.

Bluebonnet MX Park

Location: Caldwell, TX

Bluebonnet MX Park features a one-mile-long natural terrain MX track that is great for kids, beginners, and riders of vintage bikes. After a fun day of riding, guests can take their bike to the pit stop to clean it off for the trip home. There is also a playground for kids to explore, a snack bar, pool tables and a bathhouse. They are open on Saturday & Sunday from sunrise to sundown.

Little Speedsters

Location: Dripping Springs, TX

Little Speedsters is the ultimate dirt biking experience for children to conquer balance, coordination, and confidence on a dirt bike in a safe and fun environment. The facility offers a variety of training programs with bikes and gear included for little ones and the family to enjoy.
